This is my opioid story.

Last November, I was dumped by my doctors who were successfully treating my chronic pain from failed back surgery. I was forced to withdraw on my own abruptly. No weaning. Since then, I lost my job. I’m in terrible pain. Over the years, I had tried everything. Opioids are the only thing that works for me. I’m at the end of my rope. I don’t know what to do.

For years with the medication I lived a full life. I worked full time. Now I’m reduced to nothing.

I’ve signed petitions, written to senators, and contacted a civil rights attorney. Last week I received a call back from the attorney. She said this is new to everyone and they are trying to find out if they can do anything, and that they expect more complaints to start coming in.

I finally found a doctor who is sympathetic and is trying to help me. She prescribed everything but opioids. Nothing works and my insurance won’t allow them to be filled. I don’t have any money and no one to help me.

This is why I’m sharing my opioid story. I see online numerous articles about people like me, but I don’t see a solution. I’m desperate looking for someone who can help.
